Meet our Senior Writer: Louise Griffin

Hailing from London in the UK, Louise Griffin is a seasoned freelance copywriter with a background in the film and media industries, who spotlights brand messages with attention-grabbing marketing copy. Louise is an independent contractor who serves as senior writer, editor and interviewer at Success Story Studio.

Here we discover more about her life, work and the part of the case study process she finds the most rewarding…

I began my career in the freelance writing world at the start of 2020, as I wanted more flexibility to balance work and family life. It was a tricky time, juggling a new business and a toddler during the pandemic, but I threw myself into a career I knew I’d love. My son is now a spirited four-year-old with a wild imagination!

Since working with Success Story Studio, I’ve met amazing people who have generously shared how their lives have changed by working with our client firms. For me, selecting the best parts of an interview, and creating an impactful narrative that promotes our clients, is the most rewarding part of my work. We recently showcased the story of a widow facing a complex estate administration process who gained peace of mind and independence during a time of great sadness. This stayed with me, as the compassion shown by our client—a leading elder law firm—during a challenging time in this woman’s life gave her the confidence to move forward.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me catching the latest movie release, travelling, or dancing at a music festival. And as a lover of literature and the arts, I cherish the classics. Some books you never forget—The Heart of Darkness and The Great Gatsby are two that will stick with me forever.

Although based in the UK, I’ve visited the US many times and enjoy exploring the different nuances of American and British English. I’ve grown attached to certain words and phrases over the years. Yes, pants mean underwear in the UK and soccer is football, but the phrase I like best is ‘’or no?’’. It’s so simple. You can add it to the end of any sentence to prompt an answer, and I frequently use it at home with my husband—in a terrible American accent, of course!

I can’t wait to see what the future holds in store for Success Story Studio and I’m extremely proud to be part of the team.
